Gorgeous weather . . .

We may have lost an hour today, but it is an absolutely gorgeous day. Shorts and flip-flop weather!! This is classic California weather. Almost hot enough to turn on the A/C!! I had it on in my car earlier when I ran a couple of errands. Wow! Must have been in the mid-80s.

Not much to blog about this weekend. Had a pretty ordinary weekend. We finally hit 5,000 miles on our Avalon, so we took it in for its first oil change! You can tell we don't drive much except around town, since it took us 8 months to drive 5,000 miles! The only trips we've been on was to Etna for Thanksgiving, Sacramento another time, and Reno to fly out to Tucson this past January.

Speaking of cars, what's up with these gas prices?!? Holy cow, regular is almost $3.00 a gallon here in Calif. When we first bought our car last July, it was $3.05 a gallon. Then, right before the election in November, it went down to $2.13 a gallon. Now, 4 months after the election, its right back up there at $3.00 a gallon. Without any apparent increase in the cost of crude oil per barrel. Now, you can't tell me that gas prices aren't politically driven, no matter what your political leanings.

Hope everyone has been out enjoying this beautiful weather! Its amazing that just two weekends ago, my parents in Etna had 10" of snow on the ground, Paradise had so much snow they closed the schools, and I-5 was shut down for awhile!
