- I'm a midlife empty nester, married 4 years ago to a wonderful guy. We are a blended family and have four adult children between us. I have two sons ages 25 and 20, and he has two daughters ages 24 and 20. He also has a grandson who is 3, and one on the way.

We went on the Chicago one last year. This year we couldn't make it because Hurricane had a baseball game. My great grandma had alzheimer's. Our walk was right along the beach and I remember stopping a few times to just play in the sand. It was a good time for a good cause.
