Opening Gifts with Mom and Dad

My (Karen's) mom and dad came by last night on their way to my brother and his wife's house. They spent the night with us and then left this morning. It was fun to have them here. We had a really nice visit. Scott came over after work, and we had an early Christmas with Mom and Dad. We opened gifts from each other only, as we will open our main gifts tomorrow morning! Mark and Candice weren't able to come by because they got to go to the 49er game in San Francisco yesterday! Fun!

After we opened gifts, Mom and Dad, Scott, and Bill and I went out to eat at Italian Cottage. Dad treated, which really was nice. This morning, Bill had to go to work. Poor guy. Mom and Dad and I got up when we felt like it, and went out to breakfast probably bout 9:30 or so. They left for my brother's about 10:30 am. I went to Raley's to pick up some items for our Christmas brunch this morning, and I also picked up some apple pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert tonight. There were a LOT of people at Raley's today! Everyone out getting last minute stuff like I did, I guess.

Bill got home from work about 2:00 pm, and we went downtown for a bit, then went to Papa Murphy's and picked up some pizzas for tonight. Mark and Candice are coming over to watch a movie and have pizza. Bill and I picked up some beer to have with our pizza. Should be good!

Right now Bill is watching Monday Night Football and pulling the first pizza out of the oven. Mark and Candice are coming over in a few minutes. The movie we bought at Costco was The Simpsons Movie, which we will give to Mark and Candice after we watch it. They are more Simpson fans than we are. It is supposed to be funny, even if you're not huge Simpson fans. D'oh!

Here are some pics of my folks and opening gifts last night.

We will post more pictures tomorrow with all our "loot"! We are looking forward to having the boys and Candice over to celebrate. After opening gifts, we will have brunch before Scott has to go to work. We will have eggs, bacon, french toast and orange juice. Yum!

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
