Great news!!!

We got a downstairs apartment!!!!!!

I am SO excited - the Mission Ranch Apts. called today, and said they had gotten notice on a downstairs 3-bedroom apt. that has southern exposure, faces a beautiful expanse of grass and a gorgeous wall with ivy on it, facing Mission Ranch Blvd., but you can't even hear the traffic. The wall between the street and the grassy area is designed to suppress traffic noise, and the apts. are set back off the street enough that you can't even tell we are facing a street. It is the PERFECT apartment!!!

In fact, you want to hear something spooky?!?!?!? We drove over to the apt. complex this morning to take a look at the location of the upstairs apt. again, and to find out if there are bicycle racks, and as we drove through, I pointed to THAT EXACT APARTMENT, and said, "if that's a 3 bedroom, that would be the perfect apartment in the perfect location. It faces the grass, it doesn't face west, and it is away from the pool and playgrounds. I think they need to move." Bill goes, "Yeah, we'll just go up, knock on their door and politely ask them to get the heck out." LOL Then, we got the call later in the day, and they told us what apt. it was. I looked on the map and said to Bill, "I think that's the same apartment that I was drooling over earlier today!" We went by there just now, and IT IS THE SAME ONE!!!! How spooky is that!!!!

I think I need to go buy a lottery ticket, and point at the machine and say, "That would be the perfect lottery ticket, and it needs to win." HA!!! Wouldn't THAT be nice. Then we wouldn't even need the apartment.

Of course, there is a catch. The people aren't moving out until July 1st, and the apt. complex needs a week to clean it up. We will have to call our current landlord and beg for an extra week. Bill says that if they make us get out by June 30th, then we can just stay in a hotel for a week. I don't know exactly what we'll do with all our crap, but we will have to see what happens.
